BASE on Friday: Mel DeBarge 2018

Base Dubai, the nightclub in the heart of Dubai Design District, will be hosting the World renowned DJ and style icon Mel Debarge on Friday, 21 September 2018.

DJ Mel DeBarge is a regular at America’s most recognizable nightclubs, Mel is a resident at New York’s Tenjune, Marquee, The Eldridge, and 1Oak (LA). Also in The Borgata (Atlantic City), and Arkadia (Miami). Mel has been featured in a breadth of publications including In Touch, BlackBook, Complex, Vice and New York Daily News.

NEW York-born and bred DJ Mel DeBarge never sought out a DJ career to begin with, but learning to survive while studying in Japan saw him make a move towards the idea of being a deckmaster. Picking up the craft was never a problem for DeBarge, as he had grown up in a musical home and developed a deep understanding of the craft from his uncle. Since his return to the US from Japan, his rise in the DJ sphere has been meteoric, quickly establishing himself as a household name on the international party scene, and became a fixture at exclusive film, music, fashion, philanthropic, and private events.

Called upon to play in nightclubs and entertain at private and corporate parties around the globe, Mel has won critical acclaim for his technical skills, and he recently played at J-Lo’s 46th Birthday party.
