Education institutes across Dubai reopen after the winter break on Monday and a few Dubai schools will switch to remote learning.
Some of the schools shifting to the online mode temporarily include Victory Heights Primary School, Dubai English Speaking School and College (DESSC), etc.
A “small number” of students studying in Gems schools in Dubai will also be offered distance learning as Covid-19 cases reached 2,600 on January 2.
Other schools that have chosen to delay the start of face-to-face teaching ahead of the new term include Kent College Dubai and Victory Heights Primary School.
The KHDA has introduced new Covid safety restrictions for the first two weeks. Group classes, extracurricular activities, assemblies and school trips will be suspended during this period. Canteens will remain closed as well.
The temporary shift to distance learning is being done with “full support” of Dubai’s education regulator, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
