As the ongoing Covid-19 crisis is being tackled in a united manner by the UAE government and other entities, School operators offered discounts in recognition that physical classes will not be held until after the summer.

Taaleem, which operates 13 schools, offered parents a 20 per cent to 25 per cent fee discount for term three earlier this week.

Innoventures Education has also reduced its third term fee by 20 per cent. The amount will be credited towards the first term fees for 2020-2021.

This will be applied at Collegiate American School, Dubai International Academy Emirates Hills and its branch in Al Barsha, Raffles International School, Raffles World Academy and Raffles Starters.

Emirates International Schools (EIS) is offering customised discounts on upcoming third term fees for 2020 - up to a 50 per cent reduction in special cases - following extensive consultations with staff and parents.

Students at two EIS schools - EIS Jumeirah and EIS Meadows - are set to benefit from the fee discounts or waivers.

Repton in Dubai and British School Al Khubairat (Bsak) in Abu Dhabi – two of the country's highest-ranked schools – both cut fees by 15 per cent.

Nord Anglia School in Dubai also cut fees by 15 per cent for the third term on Tuesday.

While several schools have offered a discount on Term 3 tuition fees for all parents, GEMS schools and some others have limited discounts or special payment plans to parents who can prove they have been financially hurt by the coronavirus pandemic.
