Gad Elmaleh at Dubai Opera

Moroccan funnyman Gad Elmaleh is returning to Dubai for a stand-up gig on December 11.

The multilingual comic, known for performing primarily in French, will take over Dubai Opera for an English-language show on December 11, as part of ‘The Dream Tour’.

The highly-anticipated English-language stand-up show will feature his last Netflix special American Dream as well as new material about culture shock.

Gad made history by selling out the prestigious Olympia theater hall in Paris for seven consecutive weeks, a feat that had never before been accomplished. He followed the sold-out run with another seven sold-out weeks of shows at the Palais des Sports, a 3,800-seat venue also in Paris.

In 2014, Elmaleh added a second Dubai World Trade Centre date to his tour after the first sold out within a day. Since his move to the US, Gad has completed a residency at Joe’s Pub in New York City, which saw him performing to sold-out crowds for more than fifty nights. The impressive run led to a multi-city major comedy tour across the US, culminating in a sold-out show at the world-famous Carnegie Hall.

Gad, who can be spotted in films such as Midnight in Paris and The Adventures of Tintin, is currently writing his next Netflix special, Huge in France.
