Award-winning comedian Russell Peters is making his return to the UAE, as he brings his Deported World Tour to Dubai Arena on June 6.
It will be the first event staged at the new indoor, multi-purpose venue at City Walk, which opens this summer.
The city's new multi-purpose venue developed by Meraas at City Walk is the largest indoor arena of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region. The venue has the capacity to host up to 17,000 guests for a variety of events.
It is designed to host end-stage, central and half-stage concerts, sporting events such as tennis, basketball, boxing, volleyball and ice hockey matches, as well as gala dinners, exhibitions, conferences and festivals. The day-to-day operations of Dubai Arena are being handled by international venue management company AEG Ogden, part of the Anschutz Entertainment Group. Its portfolio also includes The O2 in London, Staples Centre in Los Angeles, the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai and Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
The stand-up comedy superstar will make his return to Dubai on Thursday June 6, making him the first act to grace the stage at the epic new arena at City Walk. The Emmy award-winning comedian is back in Dubai for the third time, promising all-new material as he brings his Deported World Tour to the city.
Peters is known for his close-to-the-bone, observational-style comedy that centres on highlighting racial stereotypes, throwing any semblance of political correctness out of the window. He has been named one of Rolling Stone's 50 Best Comics of All Time.
Featuring all-new material, Peters’ ‘Deported World Tour’ kicked off in Australia and New Zealand in February 2018. It has already traveled to more than 29 cities in 20 countries and been seen by over 100,000 fans worldwide.
When it arrives at Dubai Arena, the Deported World Tour will become the first show ever to take place at the state-of-the-art venue.
It features all-new observational comedy material, and we've been promised plenty of audience interaction (so make sure you don't sit too near the front if you don't want to get involved).
Tickets will be available from Sunday, April 7, from 1pm at www.ticketmaster.ae. Prices begin at Dh200.
