Sea Lion Photo Fun

Visitors to Atlantis have a new attraction to enjoy after the world famous hotel has the Sea Lion Point, home to a family of South African Fur Seals.

Visitors can get up close and personal with these beautiful mammals, even enjoying a cuddle and kiss. Of course, the special meeting between man and cuddly beast takes place under the supervision of Marine Mammal Specialists, who insist our flappy-footed friends are as excited to see you as you are them.

Your guide acquaints you with a beguiling group of sea lions. Regardless of whether you pick the in-water or poolside experience, appreciate a personal minute with a standout amongst the most amiable marine animals on the planet. Bond your new companionship with a tickle-initiating kiss from their thick bristles and tune in to your guide share fascinating truths about their conduct and natural surroundings.

Arctocephalus pusillus pusillus – to give them their real names – come from the waters around South Africa and up to Angola and are one of 15 different species of fur seals and sea lions. At birth they weigh about 6kg and come in at around 70cm long. They can expect to live 15-25 years.

Enjoy a cuddle or a kiss with one of the world’s most charming marine mammals, plus you will receive a free souvenir photograph to remember your incredible experience.

These playful animals are sure to leave a smile on your face. Participants of the Sea Lion Photo Fun interaction must arrive at Sea Lion Point Reception at least 5 minutes prior the scheduled time for the interaction
