The whole family will be entertained as author Judith Kerr’s best-selling book ‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’ is brought to life on stage at The Theatre by Mall of the Emirates.

Witness a joyous 55-minute musical act that everyone above the age of two can enjoy, with acclaimed children’s play director David Wood calling the shots.

In the story, written in 1968 by the British author Judith Kerr, Sophie and her mum are having an ordinary day at home when the doorbell rings. Sophie opens the door to find a tiger there, who invites himself in for tea and then eats and drinks everything he can find.

Audiences can expect to see the story faithfully played out on stage, complete with a splendid Tiger (the role is played by Benjamin Wells), a realistic kitchen based on the book’s illustrations and a “tigerobics” sequence. The visual effects include plates of food being magically devoured and the fridge empties and later refills.

It also includes lots of audience participation, sing-along moments and several unexpected surprises.

A huge hit among children who already know and love the bestselling book, and an exciting discovery for those who are just being introduced to it, this hilarious and colourful production is an unforgettable experience.

Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
