​Start-up Talk with Instashop Founder

Startup Grind Dubai is a local chapter of the Google for Entrepreneurs-powered global start-up community which connects 1,500,000 entrepreneurs in 450 cities. They nurture startup ecosystems in 120 countries through events, media, and partnerships with organizations like Google for Entrepreneurs.

As part of the series, the next event features a talk with John Tsioris, Founder and CEO of Instashop at In5, Dubai Internet City. John Tsioris is the founder and CEO of InstaShop, the leading on demand grocery shopping app in the GCC, operating in the region since 2015 and having been nominated for two consecutive years as one of the most promising startups in the Arab world by Forbes InstaShop has quickly scaled, partnered with more than 250 local supermarkets and has more than 300,000 users.

Tsioris holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and an MScBA in General Management. He led the global competitive intelligence of Philips Consumer Lifestyle for two years and set up the marketing Intelligence department for the Middle East & Turkey Lighting organisation. He has prior experience in the start-up world, having founded a voice social network application. After a brief networking session, there will be a 'fireside chat' with Tsioris, then the chance to take part in a Q&A with the entrepreneur.
