Each Day an Artist at Lawrie Shabibi

'Each Day an Artist' is an exhibition conceived for the holy month of Ramadan. A new way of viewing art is proposed during a month when, for 30 days, daily life takes on a new rhythm. Ramadan, as well as being a month of fasting, is a period to hold up, reflect and reconnect with family, friends and the greater community.

Every day from 12 May a new artist’s work will be added to the show with a total of 30 invited artists sharing pieces reflecting their personal interests. 'Each Day an Artist' gives a chance to present a new type of exhibition, in which artists are permitted to evolve without restraint for 30 days reflecting the pace of the month of Ramadan. The visitors are invited to visit the show as many times they want to watch it evolve. The exhibition sequence emerges intuitively, an exchange between the various parties involved – artists and other galleries. The daily additions are documented on Lawrie Shabibi's website and various social media platforms in real time, coming full circle with an exhibition where all the works will be on display.

They will include artists from Lawrie Shabibi's roster as well as artists working with other galleries in Dubai. Many have never exhibited in the gallery or alongside the other artists being shown. Participating artists include Kamrooz Aram, Farhad Ahrarnia, Zsolt Bodoni, Amir H. Fallah, Nick Devereux, Monika Grabuschnigg, Ramin Haerizadeh, Sherin Guirguis, Rokni Haerizadeh, Hesam Rahmanian, Mohammed Kazem, Pouran Jinchi, Amir Khojasteh, Laleh Khorramian, Philip Mueller, Driss Ouadahi, Michael Sailstorfer, Nathaniel Rackowe plus surprises.
