Al Qatt art as an old artform that consists of geometric shapes which adorned the inner walls of homes in Asir, a southern province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.The artform was currently recognized by UNESCO in their list for Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Tamashee's co-founders are conducting the workshop to spread awareness of a beautiful art from the Arabian Peninsula that links to their 1440H collection
During this workshop, Tamashee’s team will demonstrate Al Qatt art basics, dyes, compenents, symbols, and how to create your own Al Qatt design on camel leather.
Participants will also learn how this art form has played into Asir’s architectural design, interior decorations, folklore and dances, all of which inspired the designs and concepts behind Tamashee’s products.
