if you’re looking to inject a bit of art and culture to your Souk Madinat Jumeirah experience, a massive multi-sensory, immersive art space has set up shop in the popular Arabian bazaar.
Transforming Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s arts space into a "modern stage for digital art", the Theatre of Digital Art Dubai (ToDA) features artworks from the likes of Claude Monet and Wassily Kandinsky.
European digital production house Vision Multimedia Projects are the brains behind ToDA and combine all three formats of digital art including multimedia exhibitions, contemporary immersive installations and art in virtual reality making it a cool art, educational and entertainment hub.
The current exhibition “From Monet to Kandinsky: Revolutionary Art” is showing daily until the end of the year. The exhibition has already had a successful global tour of 11 other cities Germany to Russia, Thailand to Saudi Arabia, which attracted over 1.5 million visitors.
The theater has also just launched live music events. On Monday and Wednesday nights from 8pm you can enjoy the show with a live soundtrack from solo cellist Soren Lyng Hansen and the Suspenders Jazz Trio. Watch this space for upcoming shows in 2021.
Tickets can be booked via the ToDA website and prices start from Dhs45 for kids and Dhs75 for adults for regular tickets and Dhs75 for kids and Dhs150 for adults for balcony tickets.
