Martine Nates has been in practice as an Acupuncturist for 19 years, following a three year full-time training course at the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1996 (now Westminster University). After her graduation, she travelled to China for further study at the Yunan Province hospital in Kunming, where she was awarded a certificate in Clinical Acupuncture. She has continued her professional development and has obtained qualifications in Paediatric, Obstetric and Orthopaedic acupuncture. In addition to her private practice she has worked in the NHS and charity funded projects for many years, treating stress-related conditions as well as drug and alcohol addiction.

Martine has particular experience in pregnancy and postnatal treatments, including success in turning babies to an optimal position before labour. Her practice involves a lot of fertility work and she is a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network, keeping her expertise up to date with current developments in assisted fertility.

Martine uses a combination of traditional Chinese therapies including acupuncture, massage, cupping and moxibustion.
