When the kids are tired of going to the beach and hotel pool, Wild Wadi may seem to be the right place to bring them to, with more than a dozen ingeniously interconnected rides. Being one of the most advanced water theme parks in Dubai, it includes thrilling rides such as the white-water rapids river, Jumeirah Sceirah slide that drops you at a speed of 80km/hr from a height of 33m, and the Wipeout permanent wave where the thrill-seekers can find their mettle. For some of the scarier rides, however, children need to be at least 110cm tall. There are also gentle rides for little ones, apart from the big wave-pool.
The Dubai Waterpark, which belongs to Jumeirah Beach Hotel, can be accessed by purchasing a day ticket. From April to October Wild Wadi is open to women and children only.
The park timings are 10:00 to 18:00 hrs (Nov to Feb), 10:00 to 19:00 (March to May); 10:00 to 20:00 (June to August), and 10:00 to 19:00 (Sept to Oct).
