McDonald's is popular and prevalent in Dubai, UAE and Middle East.

The first McDonald’s hamburger restaurant in the UAE was opened on 21st December 1994 in Al Ghurair City by Emirates Fast Food Company. Since then, McDonald's UAE has been active in its community and is considered the leader in the quick service restaurants across the region.

McDonald's UAE plans to have 100 stores operating in the UAE towards end of 2011 or by early 2012. There were a total of 90 McDonald's outlets in the UAE in August 2011, and at least six new McDonald's stores were opened in the UAE during first half of 2011.

Most of the large shopping malls and food courts in Dubai have a McDonald’s restaurant, with Mall of Emirates housing two of them. The McDonald’s at most food courts share seating with other food court restaurants. Parking is free at the malls. You will also see McDonald's restaurants at petrol/gas stations in Dubai that also have free car parking. Many have a drive-through take away.

McDonald's at locations such as Al Nasr Square, Al Garhoud, Al Hassa, Al Wal Road, Dubai Media City, Jebel Ali ENOC, Dubai Media City, Jumeirah Beach Road, Sheikh Zayed Road Al Mousa, Spinneys Trade Center Road, The Gardens ENOC, all serve breakfast from 0500-1100.

McDonald's can also be found at the Dubai International Airport in departure terminals, following baggage check and passport control. The McDonald's at Dubai Airport is open 24 hours, but there is no breakfast service at this location. Also, expect to pay slightly higher prices in the airport than elsewhere in Dubai.
