Arabtec Construction LLC has been awarded a contract, worth US$142m, by Emaar Properties for construction of a new development project in Arabian Ranches, Dubai.
Arabtec Construction LLC plans to design and construct 68 Polo Homes at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club of Arabian Ranches. The construction of villas will be done in phases, and will be finalized by 2010.
With this, the number of villas currently in Arabtec portfolio will touch 2700. Emaar Properties, last week, issued the Letter of Acceptance to Arabtec for construction of villas.
According to report, more than 700 villas are commissioned by Emaar Properties, and more than 1000 villas are dedicated to the Dubai Silicon Oasis project, while the remaining 940 villas are kept aside for the Mohamed Bin Rashid Housing Programme. The construction company has completed more than 6300 villas during the last six years working together with various developers. Arabtec Construction has also contributed for a number of high-rise developments.
The firm also owns the credit of being a major player in the regional construction industry during the past 30 years with a workforce of more than 37,000 employees.
