The Emaar Malls Group, the mall subsidiary of Emaar Properties, announced its plans to launch various Sega-branded indoor theme parks in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region and South Asia.
The company has partnered with Sega Corporation, a pioneer in operation of interactive technology-driven entertainment facilities, to develop indoor theme parks in the malls across MENA and South Asian regions.
Through its partnership, Emaar has secured rights to develop entertainment complexes with Sega in several other countries. This will enable Emaar to generate a platform for its retail and entertainment destinations, while increasing its market share in entertainment sector within Mena and South Asian regions.
The initial such project will be a two-storey indoor entertainment in a 76,000 square foot gaming complex in The Dubai Mall, within the flagship development of Emaar in Downtown Dubai.
