Tameer unveils tallest residential building

The tallest residential building in the world, the 414 meters Princess Tower, has finally been delivered by its developer, Tameer, following years of preparation, construction and financing, when the economic downturn had led to cancellation of several other projects.

The tower occupies a land space of 37,410 Sq. Ft., and offers six basement levels, a ground floor, and 100 levels above. The tower offers a total of 763 individual units, including single, double and triple bedrooms and penthouses, and is supported by 957 parking lots, and 8 retail shops, all located on the ground floor. The tower also includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gymnasium, billiards room, sauna, table tennis room, multifunction room, and children play area.

More than 98 percent of the tower has been sold out. The tower was officially recognized as the World’s Tallest Residential Building by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) and Guinness World Records (GWR).

The Princess Tower, although is just half the size of Burj Khalifa, is the tallest in Dubai Marina, and ranks 13th tallest tower in the world, as per CTBUH records.

With this latest delivery, the UAE now hosts 22 of the world’s tallest 100 completed buildings. China leads this race hosting 31 such buildings, while UAE is closely followed by the United States with 21.

Dubai currently surpasses all other global cities in hosting the highest number of tallest 100 buildings.

The Princess Tower is the second such delivery by Tameer, the first being Elite Residences, a 381 metres tall residential tower, which is just 50 meters away from the Princess Tower.

This year, Tameer is all set to deliver five projects, with two towers in Business Bay and one in International City, apart from the Princess and Elite towers. Further, more new announcements are expected from the company in the near future.
