Dubai residents, who have been eagerly awaiting the opening of their city's newest landmark, will have to wait a little longer, as IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park has delayed its date of opening to 31st August.
The reason for delay has been put down to fine-tune final details, and as per the management, ticket holders are now bagging a priority pass. The new date will now be two weeks away from the initial 15th August launch date, with IUMG Worlds, now having announced as opening doors on 31st August, the day when the emirate welcomes its second landmark, the Dubai Opera.
IMG Worlds, in its statement said that visitors who have already purchased tickets prior to new opening date, will be issued fresh tickets for a date of their choice. Moreover, they will be given a complimentary Ultimate Fast Track Pass to provide priority access on rides and attractions.
Residents, however, will be spoilt for choice on the date of opening, i.e., 31st August, as it also marks the opening of the city’s hottest new landmark and cultural hub, ‘the Dubai Opera’.
The opening night gala concert will involve the performance by legendary Spanish tenor, conductor and art administrator, Placido Domingo. Described as ‘King of Opera’, the greatest operatic artist of modern times, Domingo has sung more than 4000 performances of 147 roles, apart from holding more than 500 performances. Tickets for the opening night gala concert have been already sold, but, those interested can still wait-list themselves on the Dubai Opera website. Tickets for entry to IMG World of Adventure are now on sale.
