Dubai will soon have new parking zones, apart from the present A, B, E and F. From this year, Zone C and D would be added, RTA said.
The changes are implemented across Dubai, with signboards being revised. According to RTA, the current seasonal cards - A and B will work on the new zones.
Valid seasonal parking category B could be used in zones B and D, RTA explained, while valid seasonal parking category A could be used in zones A, B, C and D.
Pricing and other details are yet to be revealed. A source revealed that changes and pricing, if any, would be announced when it is implemented.
Issuance of seasonal parking cards has undergone a change, as RTA only issued 3-months cards for Zone A and B.
RTA informed 6-month and 12-month validity cards to be available beginning 28th May. All types of seasonal parking cards may be available, based on executive council decision about public parking regulations in Dubai, starting from 28th May.
Till date, Zone A is for street parking and Zone B for off-street parking in Dubai. Also, Zone E has been introduced for fish market, F for Tecom area in Al Sufouh 2.
