UAE all set to welcome the world at Expo 2020 Dubai

The UAE is all set to host Expo 2020 Dubai, to be held in October, involving participation of 190 countries.

A Cabinet meet was held recently, aimed at reviewing the preparations for Expo 2020, chaired by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, the success of Expo following the Covid-19 pandemic is a success for the world, as it increases optimism on recovery of the global economic and cultural activity.

He also instructed all federal ministries to continue playing lead roles during the Expo event to expand prospects for international cooperation, and contribute to draw the next global agenda on various issues.

“After 10 years of hard work, 230,000 workers, Expo 2020 will kick off after 170 days, and we are ready to welcome the world at Expo 2020 Dubai,” Sheikh Mohammed said.

Thereafter, taking to Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed said “We reviewed the preparations of the biggest event. 10 years of building, 230,000 workers, 190 participating countries, and only 170 days for its beginning. We are ready to welcome the world for Expo Dubai 2020.”

During the meet, the Cabinet also approved a new policy to increase the export of the UAE by 50 percent, apart from a new strategy to draw talents and cadres that support UAE’s journey of development. Also, new amendments on tax procedures were approved.
