| The National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority, Tanmia, together with Dubai Customs had recently organized an Open Day for 110 UAE National jobseekers. During the Open Day, the Dubai Customs representatives conducted interviews and offered jobs to 80 candidates for various roles in customs and immigration departments at the Dubai International Airport and the Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali (to be opened shortly). With Terminal 3 beginning to commence full-fledged operations, the Al Maktoum International Airport is almost complete and the demand for personnel in the immigration, customs and passport control has increased considerably. The Open Day was the perfect platform for Dubai Customs to interact with 100 UAE National jobseekers registered with Tanmia. The jobs were offered to most suitable candidates. The candidates who completed their high school education were chosen for these job vacancies. Out of the total jobs open for UAE nationals, about 40 percent were in the government sector and remaining was for private sector enterprises in the country. Tanmia has been holding similar Open Days, together with various government departments, and private companies, to increase employment prospects for UAE nationals.
