Dubai Airports to recruit 400 employees


The new entity that manages Dubai International Airport (DIA), the Dubai Airports, will operate the upcoming Al Maktoum Airport at Jebel Ali, and requires 400 employees for various vacancies created due to growth in operations.

While speaking to a press release, the company mentioned that it was currently on the look out for candidates in the aviation, engineering and information technology sectors. It also mentioned that walk-in interviews would be conducted over three days, beginning 10th December.

UAE nationals and expatriates are eligible to send applications, said the company officials.

The Vice-President of Human Resource at Dubai Airports, Thani Bin Jarsh, said that the recruitment drive was necessary due to growth in business.

DIA is undergoing an expansion worth $4.5bn. The passenger traffic is also expected to touch 33million this year, as against 28 million during the previous year. The Concourse 2 and Terminal 3 of the airport are also scheduled to open next year.

The interview schedules by Dubai Airports are:

Monday (10th Dec’07) – Engineering Services position

Tuesday (11th Dec’07) – IT sector

Wednesday (12th Dec’07) – Aviation sector

Venue: Al Hessen Private School (formerly Zayed University)

The company has announced that applications for the same would be accepted between 8am and 10am as per scheduled dates of the interview.
