Tawdheef 2011 opens on 25th January with over 2500 job vacancies


One of the leading recruitment events in the region, Tawdheef 2011, set to offer more than 2500 job vacancies by top tier firms, will begin at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from 25th January 2011. The announcement came from Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council and Turret Media, organizing the fifth edition of the show.

Speaking about the vacancies on the offer, Chris Fountain, the Director of Tawdheef and Managing Director of Turret Media, mentioned that Tawdheef puts in constant efforts to bridge the gap between employers and prospective candidates. The job positions are also posted on Tawdheef website, so that candidates can have a look before entering the event.


The employment opportunities are open to entry-level, mid-level, fresh graduate and senior management positions. The show covers recruitment in sectors such as hospitality, finance, banking, oil and gas, government service sector, telecommunications, aviation and military.


One of the leading manpower outsourcing companies in the UAE, Sawaeed Employment, said that the event has more prominence now, with the UAE Labour Ministry mandating the UAE-based companies to maintain 15% national workforce in their organizations. Further, Sawaeed will offer 300 vacancies to UAE nationals at Tawdheef 2011, as an effort to assist private firms meet the target.


Moreover, one of the largest public healthcare providers in the emirate, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, will be offering 50 internship placements at various hospitals and clinics across Abu Dhabi.


Further, Etihad Airways is offering a range of trainee roles in the company for UAE nationals including a cadet pilot scheme, graduate management development programme and technical engineering development program. On completion of training, the UAE nationals will be offered full-time positions in Etihad.


Inline with aspirations of Economic Vision 2030, Tawdheef 2011 aims at developing qualified national workforce in the prospective knowledge-based industries.


Among the sponsors of the event are National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, SEHA, being Platinum Sponsors. Among the Gold Sponsors are Abu Dhabi Police, Du, Etisalat and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.
