Corniche Hospital

Established in 1978, the Corniche Hospital is a purpose-built obstetric and gynaecology hospital with 235 beds, 14 birthing rooms, and neonatal intensive care facilities. It is government-owned and managed by United Medical with over 10,000 births per year, with ISO 9001 and JCIA accreditation.

The hospital was designed for obstetric and gyanecology patients, and neonates requiring special attention after birth. The Corniche hospital is recognized by the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists, UK.

The hospital has a total of 188 beds, split into 156 obstetrics, and 32 Gynecology beds. There are also six wards with single and double bedrooms, 1 royal suite, 6 VIP suites, 30 cot special care baby unit and 17 room delivery suite. There are also three operating theatres adjacent to delivery suites and special baby care unit.

The hospital has full-fledged laboratory, an X-Ray department, Doppler Ultrasound Machine, and a two-chair dental department offering dental care to patients and hospital staff. There is also a physiotherapy department offering in-patient and out-patient services for ante-natal and post-natal and Gynaecology patients.

The 24-hour emergency clinic deals with Obstetrics and Gynaecological problems, and is equipped with its own delivery suite with emergency deliveries being carried out.
