Tigers Be Still at The Junction

‘Tigers Be Still’ play is a comedy about losing and finding yourself in the hardest of situations. It a coming of age story of Sherry Wickman and her misadventures in her little town. And, there’s a tiger too!

Tigers Be Still is a comedy that follows the misadventures of Sherry Wickman, a young woman who has recently earned her master’s degree in art therapy only to find herself moving back home with her family, sending out countless résumés and waiting for the job offer that never comes.

Jobless and overwhelmed, Sherry retreats to her childhood bed and remains there until a surprising employment opportunity gives her a renewed sense of purpose and hope. Sherry isn't asking for much – she would just like her new patient to complete an assignment, her mother to leave her room, her sister to leave the couch, her boss to leave weapons at home and the local zoo to capture their escaped tiger.

Written by Kim Rosenstock (writer of TV's New Girl) and directed by Gautam Goenka, this play will be staged at The Junction from 16-18 January 2020.
