Garden themed pop-up bar

A swanky new pop-up bar hitting JBR for the remaining winter months. The Garden is a three-month project run by DXBExperiments – the same lot that put together the outdoor cinema experience and ‘A Murder Mystery at The Lodge’ back in November and December.

Instagram fans, get excited. If you made it down to the first DXB Experiments pop-up in Le Royal Meridien, you’ll know their quirky pop-up bars are some of the most snap-worthy locations in the city. And on Tuesday February 6, they’ve launched another one, called The Garden. Open until late April, it’s largely based around what the organizers are calling a “lush urban oasis”, open through three of winter’s most enjoyable months.

You can find it opposite to Geales restaurant, and as the name suggests, it’s all about being in the garden. So, expect some unique plant-based cocktails finished off with botanicals you’ll find dotted around the bar.

Although this is similar to its cinema-themed sister bar from December, it has a more nature-themed fit-out, with trees and plants varying from a 100-year-old olive tree, chili, guava, mandarin and lemon, to fragrant herbs and foliage: introducing a unique night out with aromatic flavours and creating exciting tastes at the experimental bar.

The Garden pop-up will be open three nights a week starting with “The Potting Shed” on a Tuesday, Wednesdays dedicated to pairing evenings accompanied by live music, Thursdays to master classes with the bar open to the public on all three evenings.

• Tuesdays at “The Potting Shed” will kick off The Garden pop-up bar by offering terracotta pots filled with bread, cheeses, pickles and bottles of cocktail for 90 AED per pot. Take in the surroundings and enjoy an evening of light picnic bites and uniquely crafted floral cocktails.

• Wednesdays a live jazz band will be playing along with a host of experimental activities for consumers to get involved in, more details will be shared on the DXBExperiments Facebook page.

• Thursdays will include a jam-packed agenda for those looking to up their bar game, master classes for budding mixologists and enjoy an alternative night out.

This place is well worth a visit, so head down and don’t miss it while it’s in town.
