PBSK Centre running helpline for distressed Indians in UAE will be shifted from Jumeirah Lakes Towers to Indian consulate in Dubai
Due to the operational and access difficulties being faced by the Indians, especially blue-collar workers, who used to hesitate in reaching out to JLT clusters and also the way in which the overall working scenario has changed, the government of India has decided to shift operations of PBSK to the premises of the Indian Consulate from November 1, 2020.
The consulate cited in a media statement: “operational and access difficulties” faced by blue-collar workers as the reason for the relocation of the Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayta Kendra (PBSK), six years after it was shifted to the JLT. “PBSK was inaugurated in 2014 in Silver Towers in JLT 1 clusters and was being operated through an outsourced agency, Alankit Assignments (P) Limited.”
