Arts Dubai 2012 is the leading contemporary art fair held annually in the Middle East North Africa South Asia regions, which, over the past five years, has grown to be the cornerstone in booming the modern art community in the region.
This year's innovative Arts Dubai 2012, will be the sixth edition of the fair, and will be held at Madinat Jumeirah between 21st and 24th March 2012, featuring 74 galleries from 31 countries, apart from a new programme of artists and curators residencies, performative tours, commissioned projects, workshops, all unveiling the works by Abraaj Capital Art Prize Winners and critically acclaimed Global Art Forum.
As part of VIP Programme and Gulf-wide Art Week, Art Dubai organizes guided tours and programmes for international museum groups, institutions and curators.
The 2011 edition of Art Dubai, involves participation of 20,000 or more visitors, 60 international museum representatives, hosting more than 70 galleries from 30 nations, displaying work of over 500 artists.
Art Dubai 2012 will be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Art Dubai is a part of Art Week 2012, an umbrella programme featuring Sikka, Design Days Dubai, apart from a multitude of art and design exhibitions, projects, and major museum shows programmed by partner institutions in Dubai and across the Gulf.
Arts Dubai Ladies Day will be held on 21st March 2012, under the patronage of HRH Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women’s Establishment, Wife of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, UAE.
