Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the Middle East Electricity Exhibition is the world’s leading energy event focusing on power, lighting, new & renewable, nuclear and water sectors.

The 2011 edition of the Middle East Electricity Exhibition actually surpassed all its previous editions in terms of exhibitor and visitor numbers. The event saw participation of 14,522 unique trade visitors from over 118 countries, while there were more than 1000 exhibitors from 58 countries, participating in the event.

Middle East Electricity is one of the largest international gatherings that involve companies and professionals operating in power, lighting, water, nuclear and renewable sectors.

Further, now the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority announced that they would be setting up a regulatory body for the utilities sector to permit private sector participation in the event. Such a move is hoped to help Dubai in keeping up with the demand for power.
