The Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival is all set for its biggest edition ever, this year. This is the 12th edition of the nine-day festival, which has been built on the success of past decade, creating a unique experience for fans and artists alike.

Music lovers can look forward to a great line-up of eight main pop acts, Stone Temple Pilots, The Wanted, Olly Murs, Colbie Caillat and Jamie Cullum. The latest addition to this amazing line-up is the smooth and incredible Santana.

To be held under the theme ‘Much More Than Jazz’, you can expect twice the jazz and more of the classic rock, pop, indie rock, and urban, comprising unbeatable mix of quality entertainment. The supplementary concerts to be launched are sure to leave the ultimate Jazz lovers speechless.

Last year’s edition saw a gathering of more than 55,000 fans from across the region for the nine-day annual event, with world-class performers like Legendary British Rock Band Deep Purple, American Pop Rock Bands 3 Doors Down, One Republic, and Irish Alternative Rock Band The Script.

The 2013 edition saw 20 percent more participation than the 2012 edition, with the event being more than an average music festival. The award-winning musicians entertained the crowd so much that by the end of every night, they managed to sweep the festival goers off their feet.

After this highly successful 2013 edition, the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival is all set to return in 2014, following the same format of two weekends of Main Gigs and Jazz Garden in between, but, with several new additions to exceed expectations of all.

The tickets are priced at Dh.350 for regular standing, Dh.550 for Middle Pit Standing, Dh.750 for Front Pit Standing and Dh.995 for VIP Terrace.

Dubai is known as the land of multicultural population and the best way to amalgamate these different cultures is music. The increasing number of music festivals held in Dubai is the live example of the effort being made to bring all the diverse cultures together. Recently, it was felt that the Jazz market was quite ignored and special initiatives are required for the revival of Jazz music. It took two years of thorough research to come up with the project with the theme of 'Much more than jazz'. This became the foundation stone of the Dubai Jazz Festival that is now held every year.
