Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2013

The 20th edition of Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship is all set to welcome eight of the world’s top ten women players and six of the top ten men's players to centre court, where they would compete for the title at Dubai Tennis Stadium.

Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, last year’s edition drew a record crowd of more than 100,000 and featured several of the world's top players. In the 2012 edition, Agnieszka Radwanska was crowned as the new women’s champion and Roger Federer won his fifth Dubai title.

The championship offers USD4 million as prize money. The tickets are sold based on availability.

Officially unveiled in February 1996, the Dubai Tennis Stadium, located int he grounds of the Aviation Club Tennis Centre is a completely self-contained stadium and is a magnet for people seeking entertainment in Dubai. The stadium has a 5000 seat centre court, VIP area and Royal enclosure, press rooms, ATP world tour offices, TV commentary boxes, changing rooms. The Aviation club includes several entertainment options including the popular Irish Village, gymnasiums and the Akaru spa, apart from the range of dining options offered.

When taking a walk through the Dubai Tennis Championships exhibition area, you get to see a range of products displayed by several sponsors, supporting tournaments this year. The exhibition area is located on the southern side of the stadium.
