Dubai Health Authority authorised the AstraZeneca vaccine for use and included it in its list of vaccines currently available to citizens at its health facilities.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has just added another vaccine to its arsenal in the fight against Covid-19. According to Dubai Media Office, the DHA has just approved the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine in Dubai, and has received its first shipment.
DHA announced that the first shipment of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has arrived from India at Dubai Airport.
DHA will be making the AstraZeneca vaccine available in the emirate as part of its commitment to provide the public a choice of different vaccines. The provision of the vaccine also supports the UAE’s broader objective of combating the pandemic.
Dubai Media Office took to Instagram to say the share the news, saying: “DHA adds the AstraZeneca vaccine to its authorised list of Covid-19 vaccines provided at DHA medical facilities.
“The first shipment of the vaccine has been received from India, thanks to the efforts by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) in cooperation with the Indian Foreign Ministry.”
More than 120 vaccination centers have been set up to administer the vaccines. DHA is in the process of setting up more centers in the coming weeks to accommodate the growing demand for vaccination.
