Free Visa Campaign offered to Emirates travelers for DSF 2010

Visitors seeking to travel to Dubai to experience the joy of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) with their families can take advantage of the free one-month tourist visa offer when traveling on Emirates and make payment with their Visa credit, debit or prepaid card in the UAE.

It is valid for all Emirates destinations which require a visa for entering into Dubai. The promotion is kept open to passengers in any class of travel, provided, a return ticket is purchased in the UAE and a valid family member sponsors their stay.

However, tickets should be booked and paid for in the UAE during the on-going two week sale from 19th January 2010 to 1st February 2010.

The offer saves several families hundreds of dirhams and is particularly introduced to help families across the UAE to bring their loved ones to Dubai, without adding any financial burden by having to pay for the visas.

The Emirates Vice President-Commercial Operations, Khalid bel Jaflah, said that by partnering with Visa, Emirates has developed another excellent promotional offer to help families join together and experience one of Dubai’s most glittering events, the DSF.

The promotion also takes into account the cost of visas, which is a determining factor in whether people could afford to travel or not, as the free visa alleviates such a stress, he added.

Emirates has been supporting Dubai Shopping Festival for a long time now. DSF highlights the excellent amenities in Dubai, by placing Dubai on the world stage and attracting huge numbers of visitors every year.

The Visa General Manager for GCC, Kamran Siddiqi, when commenting on the promotional offer, said that, being the official sponsor of DSF, Visa is delighted to be able to make it easier for people to experience the shopping festival and extend the benefits of using a Visa card to tourists visiting Dubai during the Festival.

Several proportion of Dubai residents live outside the UAE and such an offer is hoped to be well-received across the emirate. Each visa has one month validity and is not renewable. Every return ticket to Dubai, booked through Emirates and paid with valid VISA credit, debit or prepaid card is eligible for free visa.

The sponsor in the UAE can purchase the ticket and apply for the tourist visa at their nearest travel agent or by visiting Emirates ticketing counters located in the UAE.

Customers can also log on to www.emirates.ae to carry out the paper requirements and details of the tourist visa applications and check for terms and conditions of this offer.
