Urgent visa processing cases to be accepted during holidays

Special units at the naturalization, residency and exit checkpoints in the country will continue to accept urgent applications in the morning during the Eid Al Adha and National Day holidays.

Limited number of urgent cases will be handled in all departments, which can handle them in fixed hours.

Maj. Gen. Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization and Residency Affairs at the Interior Ministry said that the move was taken in pursuance to the directives of Lt. Gen. Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.

The Personnel at the departments will work in the morning to finalize the transactions which cannot be postponed after the holiday, like renewal of a passport for an Emirati and the residency visa of an expatriate for health conditions. However, those that are not considered as urgent will be postponed until after the holidays.
