Burj Dubai observation deck at Level 124 to open to public
The worlds tallest building, Burj Dubai, will keep its observation deck at 124th level of the 160-storey tower open to public, a statement said.
The statement reads "One of the world’s highest public observation decks-At The Top - will not only offer visitors majestic, sweeping vistas of Dubai, but will also be an evocative and interactive journey through history and evolution of Dubai and Burj Dubai."
For those with a fear for heights, an open-air balcony will also be available, in addition to the 360-degree glass observation deck.
The ten-stage journey to the prestigious point begins at The Dubai Mall, wherein the visitors can purchase tickets at a welcome ara featuring LED displays. After moving from the reception through a ticket checking area, the visitors get to proceed towards the 65-meter elevator that transports them from the mall into the world of Burj Dubai. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes and visitors will get to further enjoy the experience through various interactive features.
The elevator carries visitors at a speed of 10 meters per second and the journey to Level 124 will take nearly 60 seconds. The doors slide open and guests will be welcomed with floor-to-ceiling glass facades, offering unobstructed 360-degree views. Visitors also get to venture into an open-air deck.
At The Top will be a never-before experience for visitors. The General Manager of Burj Dubai, Thomas Dempsey, promised that the entire journey, starting from reception area at The Dubai Mall, through 65-meter travelator, to the vertical travel in double-deck elevator and finally watching the world from Level 124 is inspirational, educational, compelling and thoroughly fulfilling.
Special telescopes will offer virtual time-travel visions of the scenes beyond and below, permitting guests to look up close not only the spectacular views of modern Dubai, but also its past and future.
