DIFC is the first free zone to implement new Establishment Card System
The DIFC (Dubai International Financial Center) has become the first free zone in Dubai to implement the DNRDs (Department of Naturalization and Residency) new Establishment Card System (ECS).
Developed b DNRD, the system aims to create a comprehensive register of companies in Dubai, beginning with free zones. The ECS has several purposes, including ensuring the compliance of companies with immigration rules. The system also helps DNRD to monitor if the companies meet the necessary requirements for conducting business.
The card also helps in speeding up immigration process and creates standardized procedures that facilitate more accurate reporting.
Speaking about the card, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at the DIFC Authority, Marwan Lootah, said that DIFC is the first free zone to implement the new ECS.
He pointed out that the most important feature of the new card is that it mentions thename of the company, next to the name of the free zone that it is based on, thereby simplifying the classification of companies and employees, so that the official departments can contact them as and when needed.
Also, the system distinguishes employees that are sponsored by free zone authorities from the rest.
Commenting on the new System, DNRD Asst. Manager for External Centers Sector, Maj. Khalifa Mutar Mubarak, said that DNRD services target all sections of the society, and works actively to expand its presence and enhance access to services. He thanked the DIFC officials for their efforts in implementing the system.
DNRD has been keen in contributing to the economic growth of Dubai, and has opened branches in several free zones to offer a range of services to meet the requirement of businesses and entrepreneurs.
