Parking Spaces to be mandatory for all buildings

It will soon be mandatory for landlords of multi-storey residential and commercial buildings to ensure a parking space for each apartment owner or lessee, if the plan drafted by the Ministry of Justice gets implemented.

Municipalities will be told not to issue construction permits of residential buildings, unless the number of parking spaces matches the apartments and commercial offices in the building.

The draft law is likely to stipulate that landlords of commercial buildings should offer enough parking slots for their customers. The buildings would require multi-underground floors or a separate multi-storey car park, the sources confirmed.
