Ferry Dubai to serve The Palm and The World
As a part of The Marine Agencys plan to serve Nakheel development projects, the Ferry Dubai will serve The Palm and The World.
According to Dr. Khalid Al Zahid, Acting CEO of Marine Agency in the RTA, a meeting reviewed the design of The World project, and a priority list has been made to match the approved schedules of work undertaken by Nakheel.
A new strategy was developed with further co-operation with the landlords and developers of The Palm and The World, to offer the necessary infrastructure, said Dr. Khalid Al Zahid, Acting CEO of Marine Agency in the RTA.
Following a briefing on major investments made by the RTA for offering marine mass transit services, the Agency singled out Ferry Dubai, and other development projects of Nakheel, Al Zahid said.
A joint team was formed with members from The World and RTA, to explore means of offering marine conveyance to The World, and the technical team will hold weekly meetings to ensure delivery of assigned tasks on time.
The drive is ultimately aimed to offer easy access and smooth mobility of visitors and residents across Dubai, particularly in waterfronts such as The World, he said.
