Garhoud Park will open to public next month

The Dh.6.75million Garhoud Park will be unveiled to public next month. The park is a part of municipality's effort to develop and improve all the important areas of Dubai.

The Director General of Dubai Municipality, Hussain Nasser Lootah, said that the civic body is laying emphasis in adding more greenery to make these areas ideal for picnics and recreation.

The designs and features of the park has been developed by the General Projects Department with an objective to offer the residential areas of the emirate with parks, and to match the urban expansion witnessed by the emirate as a part of comprehensive city facilities strategy.

Spreading across 6,600 square meters, the Park has a central square, surrounded by shaded places for seating. The main walkway across the middle of the park has been divided into two sections. The areas have been dedicated as play areas for children aged 2 to 12 years. The main entrance of the park has public amenities for male and female visitors, apart from the Park Administration Office and watchmen.

The park also includes amenities for basketball and tennis, apart from a track and a warm-up area.
