Sharjah unveils its second Indian Passport Center
A new Indian Passport and Visa Services (IPAVS) Center was formally launched by Consul General of India, Venu Rajamony on Thursday at the Sharjah Indian Association premises at Al Manakh area in Sharjah. This is the second IPAVS Center in Sharjah.
The Consul General said that after having begun the outsourcing arrangement with Empost, the public have responded positively about the services, and there has been a 30 percent jump in services rendered between March and June 2009, as against March and June 2008.
Just as all other IPAVS Centers across the country, the new center will function six days a week, except on Fridays. The application can be submitted from 8am to 8pm. The present Empost Center at Al Wahda Street of Sharjah, will continue accepting applications.
