Summer in Abu Dhabi, the six-week mega family carnival, currently underway in Abu Dhabi, is on-track to break last year visitor record of 130,000 visitors, with 35,000 visitors having attending the first 11 days of the event.
According to Faisal Al Shaikh, the Events Section Head at Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, last Friday recorded the maximum visitors with 3400 visitors having entered the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, to experience the event, featuring 200 performers from 11 countries.
The main attractions of the event are the performances by Flying Trapeze Australia, who, apart from performing in the show, also trains youngsters in the art of trapeze and gives them an opportunity to test their skills.
Other major attractions are the 4D cinema in which people feel part of the action, the Lego Mindstorms sessions, wherein the kids build their own robots and race them against each other on a track, the wakeboard training when youngsters get a chance to ride waves and zorbowl, when they have to climb inside a huge transparent ‘bowl’ and steer it to the ‘pins’ destination.
