FlyDubai announces Syria as its fifth destination
First low-cost airline of Dubai, Flydubai, is continuing rapid expansion of network with the announcement of flights to Aleppo, the second largest city in Syria from 13th July 2009.
This is the fifth destination by Flydubai, which comes just nine days following completion of first round of inaugural flights to Beirut, Amman, Damascus and Alexandria.
The Aleppo flight will depart Dubai at 0800hrs and arrive Aleppo at 1030hrs. The return flight will begin 45 minutes later, at 1115hrs and arrive in Dubai at 1535hrs local time.
To begin with, Flydubai will operate daily service between the two cities to accommodate the busy summer period. Beginning 31st August, the flights will begin four times a week.
The UAE Ambassador to Syria, H.E. Salim Isa Al-Qattam Al-Za’abi, said that Aleppo is an important commercial center, which makes the flights an affordable opportunity for investors from both countries to explore potential investments in various sectors such as industry, tourism and others.
