The ongoing Careers UAE fair focuses on Emiratization

The Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, inaugurated the ninth edition of Careers UAE 2009, the largest training, education and recruitment event, organized for nationals.

Despite the stringent global economic conditions, Careers UAE involved participation of 120 exhibitors from both private and public sectors. The companies participating in the three-day event emphasized their long-term investment plans for recruitment, training and education in the region, and the government’s continued drive for Emiratization.

Organized by Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), the fair began on 29th March and would continue till 31st March 2009 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center (DICEC). Being exclusively open for Emiratis and HR Professionals from 10am to 8pm daily, Careers UAE is held in Halls 1,2,3, 4 and 5 of DICEC. The ladies-only sessions are being held today and tomorrow from 10am to 1pm.

The CEO of DWTC, Saeed Al Merri, said that Careers UAE offers the key platform for Emiratis to obtain information on companies, opportunities within organizations, training and education programmes, market trends and improving the understanding of the job market. As for the companies, they would be benefited in discovering the national talents in the markets, focusing on the right skill sets required for future, as they invest in the long-term within UAE.
