Sir Bani Yas Desert Island Tourism Project unveiled in Abu Dhabi
Gen Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE, unveiled the Sir Bani Yas Five-Star Desert Island Resort and Spa, operated by Thai Anantara Resorts and Spas. This will be the initial phase of Desert Island tourism project, bound to turn-out to be a regional and international model for the comprehensive sustainable development.
The project puts Sir Bani Yas Island along with eight other islands of Abu Dhabi on the international tourism map.
Shaikh Mohammed viewed the prints of forthcoming phases of quality tourism project to be set up on Sir Bani Yas and other adjacent islands, which include several unique varieties tourism, recreation, scientific, sport and cultural projects.
The project will be completed in 2014, and would consist of 6 hotels, sea and resort in front, apart from recreation centers for nature camping, sea sports, and Arab style villages. The island would also be set with bays, gulf, and water channels.
