Golden era for interior designing services in the Gulf

UAE is currently amidst $3trillion worth of construction activities, with more than 1200 projects worth about $1trillion currently underway, majority of which are in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The developments are influenced by the transformation of the country into a major business, leisure and lifestyle destination, due to strategic position of the emirates at the crossroads of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

The hotel sector alone has seen introduction of 60,000 rooms and these numbers are expected to triple to 180,000 rooms by the year 2015, to meet the increase in foreign guests. This has further driven the demand for upscale interior design services.

“This huge infrastructure investments noticed throughout the Gulf, particularly in the UAE, have unveiled a golden era in interior designing across the Arab markets. More developers are seeking well experienced firms that can deliver luxurious, unique and vibrant designs that harmonize European, Eastern and traditional Arabic elements. We will leverage our vast expertise to serve not only in the Capital, but in other areas and projects too, which requires innovative, reliable and high-quality interior work, said Gary Richard Lawton, CEO, United Design International (UDI).

UDI is an international interior design and build company, with its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
