UAE offers one month extended stay to visit visa holders

The UAE airport has permitted extension of one month stay in the country to holders of visit visa on arrival, if required, on payment of fee of Dh610, a DNRD official announced.

As per the new visit visa rule, effective 20th July 2008, all foreign nationals from the 33 countries which have been granted the ‘visa on arrival’ policy, can stay in the country for a period of one month, and if required, for a further extension of another month, on payment of the said amount as fee, the DNRD official said.

Earlier, these nationals were permitted to stay for a two month period in the UAE, but now, this duration of visit visa has been reduced from two months to one month, the official clarified.
