Dubai Airports have launched a new VIP facility, Al Majlis at the Dubai International Airport. During the launch ceremony, the new brand identity for the facility, and its upgraded services were also unveiled.
Located close to Terminal 3 of the Dubai International Airport, the 3400 Square Meter new Al Majlis VIP facility offers exclusive services for affluent travelers at their arrival / transit point.
The CEO of Dubai Airport, Paul Griffiths, said that with the introduction of the state-of-the-art facility for Al Majlis at the Dubai Airports, we have additional capacity and latest in technology that enables us to serve customers in a better manner.
The new Al Majlis facility is an upgraded expansion of the previous VIP facility, which was in a different location, and the idea was to make an “improved, bigger and better VIP facility.”
According to Vice President of Commercial unit, Dubai Airports, Huraiz Bin Huraiz, the demand for Al Majlis service has been increasing steadily over the recent years. The number of customers being served at the Al Majlis is increasing at an average annual rate of 15 percent. The Al Majlis VIP facility offering hassle-free travel experience is widely popular among celebrities, businessmen, and families.
“The entire idea is to offer the luxury of travel beyond the Aeroplane cabin, to the ground. After having paid for the luxuries in cabin, why not extend the luxuries to the ground as well,” Griffiths said.
The new upgraded facility will offer a prestigious reception for arrivals, and a splendid atmosphere for departure, apart from which, business meetings can be carried on with traveler’s guests while in transit.
Among the features of the new amenity are a total of 17 private lounges, free Wi-Fi luggage, shower facilities, luggage delivery services, covered secure parking, flexible payment options, in-house duty free, ATM facility, external luxurious limousine and amenities for people with special needs.
Griffiths confirmed that it will be an integrated package with all services like the check-in, check-out and immigration done at the facility, but will be differentiated to meet the level of individual service needs.
The rates for VIP amenity with a capacity to handle about 150 people at a time has a starting price of Dh.1510 per person for arriving/departing passengers and Dh.2010 for transit passengers with an additional Dh.1000 if the transit passenger wants to leave the airport and go to the city before coming back for connecting flight.
