Dubai Municipality embarks into expansion of Hatta Hilltop Park
In an effort to boost tourism, the Dubai Municipality has announced plans to build four new recreational facilities and expand the Hatta Hilltop Park by investing Dh17 million.
The Acting Director-General of the Municipality, Hussain Nasser Lootah, said the municipality will invest Dh7.5m in expansion of the Hilltop Park, while Dh.10m will be spent towards construction of new community facilities in various parts of Hatta.
The four facilities would be established in various parts of Hatta and works are expected to begin in August. The facilities will include a main plaza with a spectator area, separate play area for children, walkways, picnic areas, lighting, benches, and soft landscaping such as rockwork.
The expansion will involve providing more greenery, apart from play grounds for children, construction of jogging track that is 800 meter in length. Special barbecue areas will be set up. Apart from shaded seating, more play areas, and walkways, will be provided.
The plants and date palms will be redistributed. Also, wider irrigation network will be taken up. The park will include other facilities like regular water supply, lighting, drainage facilities and toilet blocks.
