Express check-in service introduced at Dubai Airport
Dubai Airport has launched a new express service for travelers with hand-luggage only, which helps in considerably reducing the average check-in time to boarding gate.
This new Express Check-in service enables passengers who are travelling light, to check in at six new counters on the top floor of the Departures area in Terminal One, and go on straight to passport control.
The service, which was introduced this week, is already proving to be popular among the business travelers, as it helps in cutting the average time for check-in to boarding gate considerably.
The new counters are the latest addition to a series of measures that Dubai Airport has introduced to help travelers make their way through the terminal quickly, particularly during summer season.
This new facility is open for passengers travelling on Emirates Airline and most other airlines. Passengers can enquire with airport staff whether the service is available for their specific airline.
Few other measures introduced in the airport to manage the peak season traffic are: volunteer staff, instruction videos, additional signage, better screening machines, more immigration counters, more check-in counters and e-gate registration facilities for arrivals and departures.
