Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Gardens to be the lowest-density development in the region

The Dh200bn Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Gardens, by Dubai Properties, aims to be the development with lowest-density in the region.

Situated between Emirates Road and Al Khail Road on a space of 880 million square feet, about 73 percent of the development will comprise green and open spaces, and about 10 percent will be allocated to waterways. Rest of the space will comprise built-up and mixed-use areas.

Rashid Al Awadi, the Principal Architect of Dubai Properties, says “This reflects Shaikh Mohammed’s vision in terms of being environmentally conscious of global warming.”

The Chairman of Dubai Properties, Hashim Al Dabal, said that although we are used to projects with beaches and golf and nice houses, this one is more about responding to a query about lifestyle. The green concept incorporated in this project is ‘one of a kind’ in Dubai.

Although the exact number of units housed in the development is unknown, the maximum population in the development will not exceed 200,000, thereby, being the lowest-density development in the region.

Al Dabal revealed that the work on the project has already commenced, and the initial two phases out of the six phases will begin after the receipt of finalized details from the RTA and DEWA authorities.
